Your essential self is already whole.
Your natural self does not need to be improved upon. As we sort through who we are and what we want, we shed layers of ideas and habits to recover the natural freedom, goodness, creativity, and energy of our true selves. When we listen inwardly and honor our timing and inspiration, we are affirming what is already right in who we are. From this place, we learn to trust our intuition and weigh it against expert advice, offers, and the goals and ideals of others.
There is an inner and outer journey to business.
As we grow our business, it gives us daily opportunities to grow ourselves. We learn how to get clear, how to be organized and efficient, and how to work with the energy of money. We learn how to value ourselves, ask for support, grow our comfort zone, and understand our deepest motivations. We delve into our unconscious and explore the mysteries we find within. And like all creative acts, we find ourselves in relationship with something bigger and deeper that expresses itself through us.
There is an underlying harmony to the Universe.
Whether we call it the Tao, or we relate to other terms and language, we connect to an inner stillness within us, and a cosmic order that is beyond logical understanding but informs our daily lives. We return to this place again and again, and gradually surrender the grasping for control and let ourselves be led.
We align ourselves to this harmony by listening inwardly and following our intuition, impulses, and authentic desires.
It’s not that this makes us rich, or automatically happy. But it makes life less about struggle and more about play and creativity. When we act from our authentic needs and wants rather than what we think we should do, we have a much better chance at happiness. As we hone our relationship with the unseen and with our own joy, our lives begin to flow more easily and make sense on a fundamental level.
We learn who we are through the mirror of what challenges us.
When things go wrong, we look at what we bring to the situation. By mindfully noticing what is true in each situation, we learn who we are and what gets in our way. As we turn toward our pain and fear with compassion, the inner tangles unravel and we reconnect with forsaken pieces of ourselves. We accept and make friends with our shadows and darkness. As our lives unfold, we see that who we have become could only be forged in the crucible of our struggle to be free.
We become who we truly are by committing to the journey.
We get stronger and more clear as each year passes. Our self-awareness and our belief in what is possible expands as we allow more of what is true into our consciousness. We discover ourselves on ever deeper levels and allow more and more of our good into our experience. Striving eases, and we relax into the journey itself.
